Stand-up comic Katt Williams, known for roles in Norbit and Friday After Next, and for playing himself in Grand Theft Auto IV, was arrested on Sunday night in west Georgia on burglary and criminal trespass charges.According to The Associated Press: "Comedian and rapper Katt Williams remained jailed in suburban Atlanta on today after police said they arrested the entertainer for breaking into a home."
Williams was arrested after a homeowner reported to police that Williams allegedly entered their home and stole jewelry and other items. The Coweta County Sheriff deputies arrested Katt Williams, 38.
Katt Williams’ lawyer said the burglary was a false report. Williams was allegedly framed after having a dispute with a worker who lives in the Coweta County jail.
There's no word yet as to the circumstances surrounding his involvement in the burglary.
